Breezy Kohls, 83, Bismarck, ND, died October 27, 2017, at Sanford Medical Center. She wanted a short obituary to read, “She lived, she loved, she laughed, she left”. We will share a bit more, but not her real name, she preferred “Breezy” and was given the name because of her uncanny ability to “shoot the breeze”. A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 2 at 11:00 am at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, ND, with Rev. Jim Zotalis officiating. There will be no visitation. Breezy was born in Provo, Utah on April 25, 1934. She loved the Dakota Zoo, politics (she was a tad Republican), Gourmet club, the Denver Broncos, the Elks Lodge, cooking, traveling and reading. But above all she loved her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Rian (Byers) Dom, Napa, CA; and son, Bill (Linda) Kohls, Pelican Rapids, MN. She dearly loved her four granddaughters, Meagan Kohls, Oakland, CA, Kassy Murphy, Edwardsville, IL, Livi Dom, Praque, Czech Republic, and Denna Dom, Napa, CA. Memorials can be given to the Dakota Zoo. It was Breezy’s wish that in lieu of mourning her, that you pay a visit to Dakota Zoo and enjoy all that it offers.
