Eastgate Funeral Service

Since Eastgate Funeral Service was founded in 1981 by Chuck Eastgate, they have had a tradition of providing personalized care to each family they serve. Located on the corner of Twenty-Third Street and Divide Avenue in Bismarck, Eastgate Funeral Service has undergone two major building expansions, one in 1989 and one in 1998.

Bob Eastgate joined the funeral home in 1982 and purchased the business from his father in December of 2000. The Eastgate Family, along with their professional staff, has continued their commitment of caring for families, with one guiding principle in mind:

“To serve every family as if they were a member of our own family.”

Parkway Funeral Service

Founded and constructed in 2001, Parkway Funeral Service overlooks the beautiful Missouri River in Bismarck.  Located conveniently off of exit 157 on Tyler Parkway, the facility offers a peaceful reflection of western North Dakota's quiet stillness and pleasant colors.  This 100% handicapped accessible, 7,400 square foot facility offers families an inviting, comfortable space in which to celebrate their loved ones life.

The facility has also become home to the Center for Loss and Healing, a focal point for bereaved families and individuals to attend support groups and learn about ways to heal in grief.  Bob Eastgate states, “Parkway Funeral Service has allowed us to continue, and build upon, our tradition of excellent service to area families.”

Steele Memorial Chapel
The Eastgate Steele Memorial Chapel, located in the county seat of Kidder County, continues to be a convenient and accessible location for families in Steele and the surrounding area. The chapel, which can seat approximately eighty people, provides a warm, comfortable place to reflect and take time to be with family and friends. Bob Eastgate and the staff at Eastgate Funeral Service consider it a privilege to serve the families in Steele and the Kidder County area.
